Khan Calls Out Bradley

Amir Khan has called out Timothy Bradley after the American's successful step up to welterweight.

Bradley out-pointed Luis Carlos Abregu on his welterweight debut on Saturday, but still plans to campaign at light-welterweight where he holds the WBO title.

WBA light-welterweight champ Khan says he would love to fight Bradley and says he will ask his American promoters Golden Boy to try and make the contest.

Speaking on his twitter page, Khan tweeted: "I'll fight Tim Bradley. It's the first time he's called me out.

"I'm going to Vegas and I'll talk to Golden Boy. I would love the fight. Good style for me. I'm fighting Timothy Bradley next. I'm gonna tell Golden Boy. Let's see if they want it for real. Talk is cheap."

Golden Boy might have other ideas and CEO Richard Schaefer wants to arrange an autumn fight for Khan against the winner of Juan Diaz and Juan Manuel Marquez, which is in Las Vegas on July 31.

Paul McCloskey Looking Towards Khan

PAUL McCloskey hopes a win on Friday takes him closer to an all-British world title fight with Amir Khan.

McCloskey, 30, makes the first defence of his European Light-Welterweight Championship when he takes on Italian Giuseppe Lauri at the King’s Hall in Belfast.

Northern Irishman McCloskey, who will be fighting in front of his home crowd, believes a good performance could lead to a shot at WBA title holder Khan.

“I’m very confident of winning the fight and I’m in great shape,” said McCloskey, winner of all 20 of his professional contests.

Carl Froch Interview

LiveFight.com managed to get hold of Carl Froch and ask him his thoughts on the Kessler loss and see what his response is to the numerous comments made by Amir Khan.

LF: Thanks for speaking to us today Carl, so first things first – what did you think of the Andre Ward vs Mikkel Kessler fight ?

It was a surprise, but not a big surprise. Everyone in the tournament is here on merit and although i confess to not watching much of the two Andre’s beforehand, if they made the grade to stand alongside myself, Kessler, Abraham and Taylor then they (Showtime) obviously believed they were good enough to not only make up the numbers – but to be able to win it too.
