Speaking of the widespread release, Haye said: “I'm delighted to be able to get the bookazine out to the British public, as this is a project I'm extremely proud of and one I had a big hand in producing. We started out with the intention of making a magazine, but WHSmith felt the final product was far too in-depth and weighty for a magazine, so decided to stock it as a bookazine.
“I actually did many of the interviews myself, in between training sessions ahead of my last fight. This project, therefore, has an extremely personal touch, and turned out exactly the way I wanted it to.
“This is the only official publication available to buy that deals with my career and life, so it's a worthwhile read for any boxing fan. The interviews are exclusive and in-depth, and many of the articles that deal with my career cannot be found anywhere else, as they are very much behind-the-scenes accounts. This is the definitive read on my career so far.”
Champion Haye rose to the top of theheavyweight division last November, when he famously toppled 7-feet-2-inch 'Beast From The East' Nikolai Valuev to lift the WBA world heavyweight title. Haye then successfully defended the belt in April of this year with a ninth-round stoppage victory over number one contender John Ruiz. 'The Hayemaker' will make the second defence of his heavyweight championship later this year.
